Root Canal Therapy is similar to a filling but for the root. Every root has a canal inside of them where the nerve lives. Depending on which tooth, there are 1through 4 roots and each with a canal. Some are bigger and some are smaller, some are straight and some are curved.

We remove the affected tissue with little files and clean the canal to eliminate bacteria. We then fill all the canals to prevent reinfection of the tooth. All posterior teeth and broken anterior teeth should also be crowned to prevent fracture or leakage in the future.

The word “root canal” often elicit negative responses, however, you will not feel any pain or discomfort as we make sure that your teeth are completely numb.
