Sharlia was born and raised in California but found herself in Miami while pursing advanced degrees in political science and sociology. She always enjoyed the dentist growing up and credits her pediatric and adult experiences with Dr. Grant Ricky DDS for forming such a positive outlook on the field. Sharlia came into the field of dentistry through working with Dentalvana to facilitate staff retreats and lead on technical writing for policies, procedures as well as supporting marketing and community building efforts. Sharlia’s super power is the ability to extend optimism and positivity to everyone around her and offer support in any capacity needed.

I feel like my willingness to help, and genuinely want people to have a better day because we met or spoke and interacted is one of the greatest gifts I can offer, I try to give that to everyone I come across, especially the patients we see at Dentalvana.
