The concept of skin needling is based on the skin’s natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage such as cuts, burns and other abrasions. This procedure that allows for controlled stimulation of the skin’s natural self-repair mechanism by using tiny needles to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin and improve the appearance of a number of skin conditions. Micro-needling also creates superficial microchannels which can be used with topical gels, creams and serums to further treat and improve the skin’s appearance and the procedures efficacy. The result is smoother, firmer and younger looking skin.
